Art of Tablesettings

October 7 through November 4, 2018

This annual exhibit has transformed into a display far beyond anything Ruth West could have imaged when she introduced the first Tablesetting Exhibit at the Rahr-West Art Museum more than 30 years ago.

Originally, this exhibit featured traditional tablesettings of fine china and crystal, but over the years it has taken on a life of its own. It’s not unusual to find tin plates or coconut shells
in place of china and crystal, the bench of a canoe or a picnic blanket used as the table, and settings such as a frontier wagon, a jail cell, or a sandy beach.

Please visit us at the Rahr-West Art Museum and enjoy this annual event. Each year brings new and intriguing designs, and we are sure this year will be no exception.

Submissions are due by November 4, 2018 for the 2019 exhibit.
