Spark is a monthly museum program for people with early memory loss and their caregivers. These 90 minute classes offer a dynamic, cultural experience in a welcoming and stimulating setting. Bring your friend or loved one who suffers from memory loss for a social outing and art experience in the beautiful historic Rahr-West Victorian mansion and museum.

Spark events are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11:00 am

SPARK! 2018

March 15: Think Spring
Paint wooden birdhouses for our feathered friends.

April 19: Youth Art Series-Eastern Wisconsin Conference & Museum Student Art Exhibit
Enjoy a stroll through art created by local students. Follow up the tour with a quick project based on one of the Rahr-West's collection pieces by Victor Vasarely.

May 17: Design Your Own Fairy Garden
Create a tiny garden for your fair friends to enjoy this summer.

June 14: Subfest!

July 19: Andy Worhol Inspired Watercolor Cats
We will mimic this master with liquid watercolor and markers.

August 16: Cactus Rock Gardens
Make your own carefree cactus garden that will last all year round.

September 20: Fabric Autumn Tree Wall Hangings
Using fabric, yarn and ribbon, we will create a beautiful wall hanging.

October 18: The Art of Tablesettings
A favorite exhibit, The Art of Tablesettings will bring back memories of days gone by and family meals of the past. We will paint our own pottery!

November 15: Birch Tree Lanscape
Using a masking technique, watercolor paint and thin markers, we will create one-of-a-kind landscapes.

December 20: Holly, Jolly Holiday Fun
We will enjoy all the twinkle and sparkle of the holiday decorations that fill the rooms! Then make pine cone trees and enjoy some cookies!
